NIAS Field League:

2007 Indoor Field Archery League.

The 2007 leagues started last week. Of the 5 leagues, three are shot indoors in Banbridge Leisure Centre and two are shot on Ballyvally's outdoor courses at Loughbrickland, Tollymore and Castlewellan Forest. 206 archers returned to shoot in the first rounds.

In the under 9 class, Sarah Tombs, Cameron Alison, James Beckett, Angus Corbett, Mark Hamilton and Megan Quaile are all on top points. In the under 12 league there are 17 on full points led by Vanessa Eakin who did very well last year. 7 archers are on top points in the under 15 league including Shannon Russell-Cowan who also did very well last year. But in the under 18's there are only two archers who have won both matches....Bronagh Campbell and David McKee! There has been more success in the senior section with 13 archers on top points. Round three will be shot this week on Wednesday 24th and Thursday 25th January.

The outdoor league started at the weekend on Saturday at Tollymore with 51 Ballyvally archers braving the cold and the wet of the mountainside to shoot a FITA. Round two will be shot this Saturday at Tollymore.
